    The Oil and Gas sector is most integral to Nigeria’s economy at the moment and is therefore a heavily regulated sector.

    In this detailed introductory course, several aspects of this sector will be considered, such as the nature and origin of petroleum historically and in Nigeria; ownership and control of Oil and Gas, Participation Arrangements, Dispute resolution in the oil and gas practice, amongst others.

    Mr. Tolulope Aderemi (Partner, Perchstone & Graeys)

    Tolulope commenced his career in commercial Litigation with a law firm in 2006 after his Call-to-Bar. He attained his Post Graduate Degree in Oil & Gas Law (Masters) from the prestigious University of Aberdeen, Scotland in 2010; Bachelors of Law (BL) from the Nigerian Law School in 2006 and an LL.B from the University of Ibadan in 2005.

    With an enviable depth of knowledge in the Nigerian Energy Sector, he has been involved in high profile domestic and international energy transactions, litigation as well as energy/construction arbitration references. As an author and regular speaker at both local and international conferences, Tolulope has delivered papers at the Section on Business Law (SBL) of the Nigerian Bar Association, International Chambers of Commerce (ICC YAF) Conference, London (2012) and the Global Oil & Gas Professional Forum, Netherlands (2013).

    Tolulope is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators United Kingdom, and a Member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Young African Arbitrators, ICDR Young & International, and the Young Lawyers forum.
